Responsible Procurement Policy For Cassiterite

To guarantee responsible procurement of cassiterite by the Company and achieve its traceability, the Company hereby declares and undertakes: that the Company will not procure or use any “conflict minerals” that come from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its adjoining countries and regions where there is serious abuse of human rights. Conflict minerals refer to mineral products that directly or indirectly subsidise armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or its adjoining countries that have wantonly trampled human rights or enable the above groups to obtain benefits. Such definition is derived from Section 1502 of Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act that legislated in USA in 2010.

l   The Company assures that the procurement of cassiterite for products shall not provide any direct funding or benefits to non-national armed groups in the Republic of Congo or its adjoining countries/regions that have wantonly trampled human rights.

l   The Company shall only procure from smelteries with independent third-party certifications. The institutions that are already been approved by the Company include Conflict-Free Smelter Program (RMI) or other mutually approved certification projects.

l   The Company will conduct duly diligence to suppliers in relation to conflict minerals in accordance with OECD Guidelines for the purpose of providing sufficient information to prove that the Company has complied with the relevant regulations as well as customer requirements.

l   The Company undertakes and encourages to procure raw materials from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We do not prohibit all procurements of cassiterite from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its adjoining countries, but only prohibit the procurement of “conflict minerals” from regulated countries where there is serious abuse of human rights. The regulated countries refer to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its adjoining countries, which include the Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia or Angola.

l   The Company shall convey this Responsible Procurement Policy For Cassiterite to all suppliers (including sub-contractors) and shall incorporate this requirement into the purchase contracts signed with suppliers.

The Company shall conduct an assessment regarding the source of cassiterite from suppliers. Procurement can only be made from suppliers that had met the above conditions.
